Violent or abusive behaviour

Physical violence and verbal abuse is a growing concern. GP’s, Practice Nurses and other practice staff have the right to care for others without fear of being attacked or abused. We ask that you treat our staff properly without violence or abuse.

We strongly support the NHS policy on zero tolerance.

We take very seriously any threatening, abusive or violent behaviour against any of our staff or patients. If a patient is violent or abusive, they will be warned to stop their behaviour. If they persist, we may exercise our right to take action to have them removed, immediately if necessary, from our list of patients. In extreme cases we may summon the Police to remove offenders from the premises.
